Fubuki Daiko, taiko drumming
Audiences everywhere are energized by Fubuki Daiko’s high-powered style of Japanese drumming. Members Hiroshi Koshiyama, Naomi Guilbert, Bruce Robertson and Kimi Guilbert present an unforgettable concert that is part martial arts athleticism, part dance, and all rhythm. Their repertoire of both hard driving rhythms and soft subtle musical pieces transcends musical boundaries and appeals to people of all ages, background and tastes. Their North American roots are combined with their four-year apprenticeship under Taiko (Big Drum) Grandmaster Seiichi Tanaka, and they have created a phenomenon that is truly unforgettable. Fubuki Daiko’s unforgettable shows, which combine precision percussion and graceful athleticism, are dazzling displays of strength, stamina and heartfelt rhythmic spirit.
