An animated and expressive soloist, Kannan is currently pursuing a masters degree in saxophone performance. He won the University of Toronto’s Symphony Orchestra’s Concerto Competition in 2026 as well as the Winds Concerto Competition in 2024. Christina completed her masters in classical harp at the Manhattan School of Music. She has been highlighted as a notable emerging artist with her inclusion on CBC Music’s list of “30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians under 30.”

Hear these instruments anew, as Christina and Kannan push beyond the conventional with music that is vibrant, compelling and filled with discovery.

“What we hope to bring to Prairie audiences is a program that shows the limitless possibilities for music-making for an unconventional duo.
And yes, we can fit a concert grand harp and three saxophones in one car.”

The duo is increasing the range of repertoire for this surprising instrumental combination by arranging and transcribing works from all eras and genres.
