January 2017 | Duo Milot and Bariel’s Duos & Duels tours Western Canada with Prairie Debut this February
The relationship of the performers and their passion for the music played is the foundation of Duo Milot & Bareil. A couple on stage and in life, harpist Valérie Milot and violinist Antoine Bareil offer performances marked by exceptional artistry and intimate connection.
The duo will begin the first leg of their Prairie Debut tour in February, which will see them perform in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Duos & Duels is a unique program highlighting the dynamics between the violin and harp. While some pieces pair the instruments as a beautifully intertwined duo, other pieces pit them in an artistic battle of virtuosity. In English or French, the duo takes time to explain their instruments, tell stories about the music, and share anecdotes about performance experiences.
